The Ladd Observatory: Brown University's Hope Street Gem

video thumbnail
Brown University's Ladd Observatory, located on the corner of Hope Street and Doyle Avenue in Providence, RI, opened in 1891. More than a hundred years later, the Ladd Observatory's doors are still open to the public. Once a week, members from the Brown and Providence communities gather at the Ladd Observatory to look at the night sky through the Observatory's original refracting telescope. Join us for a sneak peek into the Ladd Observatory's history and the exciting activities and events, including weekly open nights, happening today!

For more information about the Ladd Observatory, please visit the Ladd Observatory website (http://www.brown.edu/Departments/Physics/Ladd/) and like the Ladd Observatory on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/LaddObs).
