Plastic is everywhere, from the bottles we drink out of to the packaging of our favorite snacks. But this convenience comes at a high cost to our environment. We are in the midst of a plastic waste crisis, much of which is not properly processed and ends up in the oceans, breaking down into tiny, toxic particles that pollute our planet and threaten our health. This talk will guide the audience to learn how a sustainable business that puts the environment first before profit could achieve a greater growth opportunity in the future. By breaking the dependence on plastic as an action to solve the source of the problem itself, which is the production process of plastic goods, sustainable businesses offer new optimism regarding the future of our life. David Christian, CEO of Evoware, a sustainable packaging company that visions in "a world without plastic pollution" by initiating the #RethinkPlastic movement to create an ecosystem for reducing plastic waste. Evoware offers alternatives to various environmentally friendly packaging products, such as environmentally friendly drinking straws, food containers, cutlery, as well as bags and wrappers. Apart from selling environmentally friendly goods, the company also acts as a call to society through a number of initiatives aimed at changing society's consumerism towards consumerism that is beneficial for the environment.
