Star Sports, the hosts broadcaster for the Indian Premier League, has released the promotional video for the upcoming IPL Season 12.
The league starts on March 23 when defending champions Chennai Super Kings host Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a first, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to drop the grand opening ceremony and contribute the allocated funds for the welfare of the Pulwama martyrs.
The Star Sports TV S features the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jaydev Unadkat, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin and Afghanistan star all-rounder Rashid Khan.
The TVC creates a history of sorts as for the first time, the players from all the eight IPL teams feature in a single video to showcase the spirit of the league.

The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 12, will be the twelfth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007.[1][2] On 8 January 2019, the BCCI confirmed that the tournament will start on 23 March and take place entirely in India.[3][4] At one point, other countries were considered as host due to the Indian general elections.[5][6] On 19 February 2019, the BCCI released the time table of first 17 matches and rest of the schedule will be announced after the announcement of the Lok Sabha 2019 election dates. All teams will play a minimum of 4 matches while Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will play 5 matches.
