NFL Officiating Blows the Super Bowl?

video thumbnail
Leading up to the last four minutes of regulation, this year’s Super Bowl was a thriller of a game, showcasing exceptional competition and talent. Best of all, the game was being played as it should be, with limited interference by the officiating crew. In the final minutes of this extraordinarily close game, Eagles cornerback James Bradberry was called for holding on WR Juju Smith-Schuster in a third down situation that ultimately resulted in the Chiefs securing their lead, running the clock down to close the game with a field goal. This call and the effect it had on the game’s outcome turned a game for the ages into a discussion about officiating. This game and its final minutes were reminiscent of the classic show “Sopranos”- fantastic in every aspect except the ending.
