Understanding Frances Ha | An Ode to Greta Gerwig & Noah Baumbach | sigh if you must

video thumbnail
When films stay with you, the characters of those films interfere with your cognizance. And for the better, might I add.

Here, I attempt to see the reality around me through Frances' eyes. I attempt to absorb and comprehend the variety of moods and emotions that Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig offer through Frances. And in doing so perhaps, I am only trying to better understand the human condition.

If Frances were to read this last line, I believe she'd scoff at the pretension.

Released in 2012, Frances Ha is one of those that would never lose relevance. The manner in which it explores the continual mediocrity and the occasional ecstasies of a person in her 20's... or simply of a person, never ceases to amuse you.

Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig's cinema is both escapist and oh-so-human in nature that it suits your Friday evenings as well as your Monday blues.

Other masterpieces by these masters:
1. Lady Bird, Greta Geriwg
2. Marriage Story, Noah Baumbach
3. The Meyerowitz Stories, Noah Baumbach
4. Little Women, Greta Gerwig
