Love buggies!


Let's have a chitty chat! These types of nails are a long process to complete so I was inspired to share some tidbits about my life with you all. I liked flapping my gums with you, flap back in the comments. Share with me, tell me all about yourself. I'm nosy about you!

The inspiration for these nails was my sister’s Dia De Los Muertos altar. She created one in her home for our mom and her beloved in-laws.

My sister is incredibly festive around every holiday. She took after my mom in that way. I couldn’t bring myself to celebrate anything after her death, so she kept the traditions alive. My sister even decorates our mother’s gravesite.

I hope you enjoyed this video, as well as me sharing an image of her altar. I know that Dia De Los Muertos isn’t as widely celebrated here as it is in Mexico. This is our way of paying homage to our deceased. It’s incredible to see so many artists on YouTube creating their versions of sugar skull makeup looks. It’s keeps very old and meaningful traditions alive.

If you’re in the L.A area and love Dia De Los Muertos I highly suggest visiting Hollywood Forever for their annual event. The altars are both breathtakingly beautiful and moving. This year it took place on 10/27. I was lucky enough to attend.
