After the video of a woman offering namaz at a government hospital went viral and a polarised debate, police in Prayagraj have "taken note" and "directed necessary action as per rules". The identity of the woman in the video remains unclear, but sources said she was attending to a patient at the dengue ward. It was not immediately known when the video was filmed but it went viral on WhatsApp groups and other platforms in the last 24 hours, with some saying it is illegal to offer prayers in public spaces.
