This is the death of Spartan Theodore Sorel, special weapons expert in the level the Conservatory. Died with a screwdriver in his hand, likely taking the elite with him to the afterlife. He was killed by multiple brutes likely the spartan killers Hyperius and Tovarus. You get the thruster module.
