This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The Leader sitting right next to us, the leader behind the invisible curtain, the leader within us....Waber putts it all in perspective in her inspirational heart felt talk.

Nadia Waber is Faculty at Generating Trans formative Change (GTC) – Africa and Partner at Tong Schraa-Liu & Partners. She studied History and Italian at Exeter University (UK), and is currently learning to become an analyst and scorer for the StAGES model of adult stages of development. Waber is passionate about creating spaces for learning and innovation that nurture emerging authentic leadership. She serves as a facilitator of systems and organizational change, through cross-cultural training, coaching, and management development. Her work has enabled her to connect with large and small teams of women, youth, entrepreneurs, artisans, members of networks, senior-level managers from not-for-profit organizations, managers of UN agencies, EU civil servants, donor agencies and teams of diverse backgrounds in the rural and urban settings in Africa, to engage in capacity building processes.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
