Easter - the most important event in history - when Jesus once forever been the atoning sacrifice for all men's sins.
Isaiah 53,3-5: He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. John 1,29: The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Rom.4,25: He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. 1.John 2,2: He himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world |
