Te Mātāwai - the new organisation to lead te reo Māori revitalisation on behalf of iwi and Māori has appointed its inaugural chair. It comes as members of Te Mātāwai gathered for their first hui in Ōtaki this week. A Te Mātāwai member admits that one of the biggest challenges facing them is reaching out to those people who can't speak Māori.
