2023 Opel Grandland - Right on the heels of the debut of the Astra GSe last month, Opel has unveiled the Grandland GSe to further expand upon its "grand sport electric" lineup. It's important to be clear that we're not looking at a completely new model; rather, it's the Hybrid4 version that has been given a new moniker. Opel's first production vehicle to combine a combustion engine with an electric motor debuted in May 2019, and the plug-in hybrid crossover received a refresh in June 2021.

Later on, it will be sold under the Grandland GSe name, matching the Astra GSe hatchback and wagon. This little crossover has a combined 296 horsepower from its turbocharged 1.6-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. The all-wheel-drive version can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in a respectable 6.1 seconds, and it can reach a peak speed of 146 miles per hour (235 kilometers per hour) thanks to the added electric power. While running on electricity, the vehicle's top speed is limited electronically to 84 miles per hour (135 kilometers per hour).
