John explains how homogenous unity can be built and maintained through the ways we use language. John Belk is an Assistant Professor of English at Southern Utah University where he directs the Writing Program. John's professional interests include histories and historiography of rhetoric, intersections of rhetoric and poetics (ancient and contemporary), writing across the curriculum/in the disciplines, composition and creative writing pedagogy, rhetoric and technology, and writing program administration.
