Having a healthy perspective in the middle of challenging circumstances is essential and it happens from the inside out, when we learn how to guard our heart. Psalm 119 verse 112 teaches us that we need to, “incline our hearts” toward God’s purposes. We can’t focus on changing the behavior alone, we need to do the work of shifting the beliefs that drive the behavior; sometimes we need to learn how to reset our hearts.

But what do we do when we have a good reason to be afraid? What about when we feel overlooked, or left out? What if we feel like we don’t have what it takes to meet the expectations of others?
