πŸ’Ž Crystal Time Lapse ( Epsom Salt )

video thumbnail
A very interesting experiment captured in time lapse for kids and middle school of making Epsom Salt ( magnesium sulfate ) Crystals.
For this easy experiment you will need:

Boiling Tap Water + Epsom Salt (a lot of salt).

Keep adding salt unless it will not dissolve anymore.

Then just pour the solution in glass and withing a day or even less you will have your beautiful Crystals.

Tips:
*If nothing happened you can bring your liquid solution to boil again and just add some more Epsom Salt (it makes the solution more saturated).
* You can do it as many times as you like.

How do Salt crystals grow? Hot water holds more Salt than cold water does. That’s because heated water molecules move farther apart, making room for more of Salt crystals to dissolve. When no more of the crystals can be dissolved, you have a saturated solution. As this solution cools, the water molecules move closer together again and Salt atoms join in a crystal structure.
