This is a FAMILY-oriented drama so the fluffy romance will not be the main theme of this drama. This is more geared toward mending broken relationships between parents and children. This drama shows us the generation gap and how to address some of those issues. In addition, this drama shows us the love of family is like the sun: warm, healing and powerful.

I have Asian parents, so I found the parent/child dynamics very familiar and relatable. While I did not like the behavior, nagging, and meddling from the mother, I find this drama gives a good perspective from both sides. I can see why many people are annoyed with the mother and may still not like her even after her redemption arc at the end. We saw her true intentions and desires for her children at the end.

The one supporting character that I cried for was their grandma. I was expecting her death, but it still hurts watching that scene and how the main leads were mourning for her. It also made me sad to see that YZM did not have a chance to forgive his father before the car accident. 😭

I personally watched the whole drama because I love the main leads: Yang Zi & Xu Kai. I had hoped they ended the drama with our main leads at least engaged rather than just ending the drama the way it did.
