9. Segmental Bridge Launching Machine
Surely it takes a crew to build a bridge. But wait… is that actually true? Not if video by engineers from China is to be believed. Instead, their footage shows the intricate workings of an incredible machine named “SLJ900/32”. That’s a mouthful. It’s easier to understand by its colloquial name; the Segmental Bridge Launching Machine.

You’re driving along the road, and you look to your side to see the long line of barriers blocking you from entering into oncoming traffic. Have you ever wondered how those cement barriers got there? We’ve got you covered; in many cases, they are put there with something called a barrier transfer machine, or more casually called the “road zipper”, which is a fancy contraption whose purpose is to carry, place, and transfer those lane dividers.

7. Big Bud 747
When you’re working on a big project, you need to bring in the big tools. And that’s precisely the time where you might want to call upon Big Bud 747, which has held the title as the world’s largest tractor for over 40 years. Constructed in Havre, Montana in 1977 for the California Farm Equipment Show, Big Bud was then put to good use on a cotton farm in California.
