Vignesh ShivN and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja .[2] The film will be released in Telugu as
Gang.

Production
Production began on 1 November 2016. [3] The film is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja 's
Studio Green along with Suriya's 2D Entertainment and music by Anirudh, with whom the director collaborated for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015). [4][5][6][7] This is the first time that Anirudh is scoring for
Suriya.[8] The first look and second look posters were revealed on 23 July 2017 for the occasion of Suriya's birthday.[9][10] Although the title suggest about politics as main plot in the movie, director says that this movie is not based on politics and the story is in the backdrops of 1987. [11] The final schedule of shooting took place in Pondicherry and the entire shooting was finished on November 28 2017. [12]
Music
The lyrics have been written by Vignesh Shivn and Mani Amudhan. The soundtrack and background score of the film was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Anirudh Ravichander sang the first single Naana Thaana.
The second single "Sodakku" has been sung by
Anthony Daasan and also has narrative dialogues by Suriya Sivakumar . The song deals with problems such as unemployment and misuse of power and money by rich people.
