Many of you know that I use fenugreek hair pack regularly. Whenever I apply it on my hair, I used to apply it on my face too. It greatly helps fade scars and blemishes and my skin used to feel refreshed after using it. Few weeks back, I got this idea of making fenugreek cream and I just love it to the core. It's soothing, wonderfully creamy with amazing skin lightening properties it also does not have any fenugreek smell. The first ingredient we need for making the cream is a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds. Fenugreek seeds are called Vendhayam in Tamil and Methi in Hindi. It's one of the best ingredients to use for hair and skin care. If you apply it regularly on your skin, your skin will be completely blemish free. The next ingredient we need is aloe vera gel. I was debating between using aloe vera gel and flaxseed gel but aloe vera gel works wonderfully for this recipe and all of us know how good aloe vera gel is for our skin. Try to use one that is free of colour and perfume. The last ingredient we need is Kasturi turmeric powder. Kasturi turmeric has wonderful antibacterial and skin lightening properties and I highly recommend using it. It also does not stain the skin like normal turmeric. To make the cream grind a table spoon of fenugreek seeds coarsely in a dry mixer and take it in a pan. Now add 1/2 cup of water to it. Boil this mixture in low to medium flame. Very soon the water will turn yellow in colour. You can either add in quarter teaspoon of kasturi turmeric powder now or while making the cream. After five minutes, switch off and strain. Here I have boiled fenugreek seeds separately without adding turmeric powder to show the fenugreek decoction color. To make the cream, add in a tablespoon of aloe vera gel that is free of colour and perfume in a cup. Add in 1/4 teaspoon of kasturi turmeric powder to it. Finally add in a teaspoon of the prepared fenugreek decoction. Now mix well with a spoon to get a smooth cream. Though you can mix turmeric powder like this, I would suggest adding it to fenugreek seeds while boiling, this will greatly help us get a smooth cream. Also make sure to use a fine strainer to strain out the decoction. To use, everyday night massage this amazing cream on your face and neck in upward motion for 3 to 4 minutes. You can either leave it on overnight or wash it off. I usually wash it off. This cream feels so good on the skin and massaging with this cream every day night is one of the best things you can do for your skin. It will greatly help lighten scars and blemishes well. You can store this cream at room temperature for 3 days or in the refrigerator for weeks together.... ============================== Hi Friends, my name is Ramya.
