During the Second World War, tanks were used to new extremes on the battlefield and they were a key weapon of war. World War 2 tanks are dominated by T-34s, Panthers, Tigers and Shermans. The Char B1, the French heavy tank isn't known as one of the best tanks of the conflict, however it was incredibly sturdy and strong in defensive formations at the start of the conflict. It had very thick armour with a very capable set of weapons onboard.

The Battle of Stonne was a key part of the early German invasion of France. It was fought over the village of Stonne and heavy fighting took place in this area, with Stonne switching hands over a dozen times over a few days. During the intense battles, a moment would take place which would seem unbelievable. One French Char B1 Tank would manage to wipe out 13 German Panzer tanks.

The Panzers were hiding and waiting to ambush the French vehicle, but General Billotte was at the helm, a rather incredibly Tank Commander. He would manage to withstand around 140 hits in his thickly armoured Char B1 Bis, and would manage to also destroy every single one of the German tanks.
