The world was stunned when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to leave the royal family. Apart from the public, it seemed the royal family was just as, if not more, shocked by the news.

The sudden departure, dubbed “Megxit” by the press, was seen by many as a rash move for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Many wondered whether leaving the golden nest would be such a good idea -- especially since Meghan and Harry disclosed that they would now have to work like the rest of us.
