Donald Trump has maintained a lead over President Biden in the latest 2024 US election polling.

US President Joe Biden is trailing Donald Trump by six per cent in the latest national poll, with Trump leading 49 per cent to Biden's 43, according to the CNN survey.

Sky News Contributor Kosha Gada has discussed the latest 2024 US election poll.

“These latest polls on the surface or on paper are certainly spell bad news, continuing bad news for Joe Biden," Ms Gada told Sky News host Sharri Markson

“Do the majority of Americans think that the country is on the right track or the wrong track, Biden is severely underwater 70 per cent of the country thinks he's on the wrong track.

“The second measure is just overall the favourability rating and his below 40 per cent.

“Those two metrics have historically been the predictors of the outcome of the presidency and if you just look at that his not doing well because his severely under water on both.

“However we are in uncharted water with all the legal cases … so it’s really anybody’s guess in it you’ve got to take those polls in that context.”
