A Sacramento woman made the most of the pandemic by taking a musical idea and running with it, forming an all-female mariachi band called Mariachi Bonitas. It is made up of the traditional sounds of violins, trumpets and guitar, but the voices come from women. Group founder Dinorah Klingler understands how unique her group is. "In Guadalajara, there are five female mariachi bands for every 250 male mariachi bands," she said. "So, the difference is huge."
