video thumbnail
The leading cause of death for American women is heart disease. Despite proven effective prevention methods from the behavioral and social sciences, every year for three decades, more women than men have died from this disease. Hence, the NIH’s Heart Truth program spurned National Wear Red Day, commemorated each first Friday of February with a goal of increasing awareness of heart disease in women. This video is intended to serve as new information for some women, and a refresher for others, about both the urgency of and methods for maintaining optimal cardiovascular health.
