Alexis Tsipras meeting Martin Schulz & Dimitrios Papadimoulis - EU Parliament - Video: Vasileios Katsardis


Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met today with the European Parliament's President Martin Schulz. The issue of discussion was the active and meaningful involvement of the European Parliament in the implementation and evaluation of the Greek programme. On this all European political groups have agreed and the legal side of the institutional involvement of the European Parliament is already being examined.

Also Alexis Tsipras met with SYRIZA MEP and Vice-President of the European Parliament Dimitrios Papadimoulis. During the meeting they examined ways that GUE/NGL could contribute to these developments and how to intervene politically at European level, in trying to implement policies that will support the weakest people as well as the social cohesion in Greece.


Ο Πρωθυπουργός Αλέξης Τσίπρας είχε σήμερα συνάντηση με τον Πρόεδρο του Ευρωκοινοβουλίου Μάρτιν Σούλτς. Αντικείμενο της συζήτησης ήταν η ενεργός και ουσιαστική εμπλοκή του Ευρωκοινοβουλίου στην εφαρμογή και αξιολόγηση του ελληνικού προγράμματος. Πάνω σε αυτό έχουν συμφωνήσει όλες οι Ευρωπαϊκές πολιτικές ομάδες και ήδη εξετάζεται από νομική πλευρά η θεσμική συμμετοχή του ευρωκοινοβουλίου στην όλη διαδικασία.
Επίσης ο Αλέξης Τσίπρας συναντήθηκε με τον Ευρωβουλευτή του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και Αντιπρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου Δημήτρη Παπαδημούλη. Στην συνάντηση εξετάστηκαν οι τρόποι με τους οποίους η ευρωομάδα της Ευρωπαϊκής Αριστεράς θα συμβάλλει στις εξελίξεις αυτές ,καθώς και το πώς θα παρέμβει πολιτικά σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο, στην προσπάθεια να υλοποιηθούν πολιτικές που θα στηρίξουν τα αδύναμα στρώματα και την κοινωνική συνοχή στην Ελλάδα.
