Chris Cummings, aka Marker Starling, performs Wild Is The Wind at the TIFF Bell Lightbox . Written by Dimitri Tiomkin and Ned Washington, originally composed for George Cukor’s astonishing 1957 film Wild Is The Wind.

Chris first heard it as a 15-year-old and for years, thought it was a Bowie original but the song was originally performed by Johnny Mathis in the film’s soundtrack. It was also later interpreted by Nina Simone who recorded it twice, in 1959 and 1966, and David Bowie who recorded perhaps the most famous version of the song in 1976.

Wild is the Wind will be screening at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on February 7
