Oscars 2023: Showcasing love, care and emotion in bond between humans and a pair of elephants, understanding their family dynamics is what director Kartiki Gonsalves wanted to portray through her Netflix documentary short film, 'The Elephant Whisperers'. It is based on the real life story of couple living in Theppakadu Elephant camp within the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve of Tamil Nadu who devoted their life to parenting orphaned elephants.
