Guadeloupe faced off against Guatemala in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup on Tuesday, July 4th. First, Guadeloupe's Andrew Gravillon scored a beautiful header to take a 1-0 lead in 27'. Guatemala's Rubio Rubin responded by scoring a header in 39', to tie it 1-1. Then, Ange-Freddy Plumain scored a penalty kick in 63' to give Guadeloupe a 2-1 lead. In 70' Guatemala's Rubio Rubin scored a goal to tie it once again, 2-2. Shortly after, Carlos Anselmo Mejia Del Cid scored a goal to take the lead for Guatemala, 3-2 in 73'. Ultimately, Guatemala came out victorious over Guadeloupe, 3-2.
