UFC Vegas 8 is shaping up to be a very interesting card. Several fighters are ready to step into title contention while several others are looking to prove their recent troubles were fleeting. All-Star caliber names like Robbie Lawler find themselves on this card. Yet, they also find themselves fighting Father Time alongside fellow competitors Anthony Smith. The two old guards of the UFC have to prove to guys like Neil Magny and Aleksandar Rakic that it’s not time to pass the torch just yet.

Other rising stars like Giga Chikadze, hopes to continue their winning ways. For some though, it’s not even about winning or losing but about finding out. In the case of Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cutelaba, it’s about finding out who really is the best. An early stoppage loss by Cutelaba in February was protested and a rematch was set up. Cutelaba then tested positive for COVID-19 and the bout was pushed to UFC Vegas 8. Will there finally be a clear cut winner after the fight?

These are just some of the storylines going on heading into UFC Vegas 8. There’s plenty of more, as some fighters try to stave off retirement or being fired. While others look to assert themselves in the title picture like never before.
