Relentless rainfall and ongoing landslides have inflicted widespread devastation across various Himachal Pradesh regions. Shimla and Mandi are the hardest-hit districts, grappling with the aftermath. Drone footage vividly captures the extent of destruction caused by the landslides, resulting in debris-strewn roads and buildings perilously positioned at cliff edges in Mandi. Meanwhile, search and rescue operations persist in Shimla's Summer Hill area, which was severely impacted. Of the 21 individuals initially trapped due to the landslide, 14 bodies have been recovered thus far, according to officials. Chief Minister Sukvinder Singh Sukhu announced plans to seek assistance from the Prime Minister, recognizing the gravity of the situation.
