What can the worlds of data science and social science learn from working together?

video thumbnail
Social scientists are known for being meticulous in ensuring their work is rigorously robust and ethical. They have agreed methodologies for conducting research and established best practices in place. They have grappled with ethical challenges, and that was all before the concept of data science was even born.

Whether you're a current or aspiring data scientist, social scientist, or you are just interested to find out more about how different disciplines can learn from each other to better tackle social problems, tune in and find out what our speakers had to say.

Interdisciplinary Alchemy: Data Science + Social Science (1/3). This event was the first in a three-part series by DataKind UK exploring what data scientists can learn from partnering with other disciplines.

This session was chaired by Fran Bennett, CEO of Mastodon C and trustee of DataKind UK. It was organized in collaboration with SAGE Ocean and UCL.
