Try the interactive tutorial, or download the Sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/52900253/scores/10374865?from=youtube_share This is my first piano arrangement of someone else's work with sheets. Now time for some details of this arrangement Three-hand technique: This occurs in the second verse. It is mostly played by the thumb of the right hand. This is so that it matches the original where there are upper notes being played while the singer sings. In the second and third chorus, three-hand technique is also present. The second and third chorus are the most difficult parts of this arrangement, and having three-hand technique is one of those reasons. Technically, the majority of the arrangement (from beginning to third chorus) has three-hand technique because the original song has the rhythm and the singer singing the lyrics. At first, it was quite tricky when it came to figuring out when to put three-hand technique. Since I wanted to be accurate, I decided to put it where it made sense. Chorus: The chorus in the original song had bells, or the Jerusalem bells. They occur on the second beat and they are separated by a half note. On the first chorus, you will see accents on the left hand. That is supposed to replicate the bells. In the second chorus, you have the massive jumps on both hands. The right hand plays the suspended chord at the same intervals as the bells. This is also occurring in the third measure, but not always because the right hand also plays that iconic vocal line. (OOWOAOWOW) Ending: Originally, I was going to add tremolos for the ending, but I decided to keep it simpler since this arrangement was early very difficult and I want to play it in the near future. Very typical ending. I extended it, but also replicated the decrescendo heard in the original version. The original version gets quiet to the point where you can't hear anything. I decided to add more Overall, this is probably my best arrangement I have made. Since this is a popular song, I figured to give it a try. I learned a lot from making sheets, not only did my sight reading skills improved (although not by a lot), I now have a better understanding on how to arrange. Next upload: Love of My Life piano arrangement. This one has no sheets, like most of mine. Hopefully by the end of this month, I will have: Uploaded ASCA Howling Uploaded my third composition Record an improvised medley that is to my satisfaction |
