The Boston Celtics have made the Eastern Conference Finals twice during the last three seasons. And with franchise star Jayson Tatum already an NBA All-star and an All-NBA team member, he should be able to up his game this season together with co-star and borderline all-star Jaylen Brown and one of the best 2-way guys in the NBA, Marcus Smart. Gordon Hayward is now in Charlotte and Kemba Walker is going to be out at least for a few weeks. Jayson Tatum is expected to be the Celtics’ leader from now on. But, can he really become a legitimate MVP candidate next season? Will Boston’s three core guys Tatum, Brown, and Smart be able to lead this team, which still features veteran Kemba Walker, Tristan Thompson, and returning point guard Jeff Teague? As the Celtics’ new veterans, will they be able to elevate the games of young guys Romeo Langford, Grant Williams, Tacko Fall, Robert Williams, Robert Williams, Carsen Edwards, as well as Celtics rookies Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard? Has Danny Ainge already put up a championship ready line-up for next season for coach Brad Stevens? Can the Celtics finally break into the NBA finals and beat teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, or the Philadelphia 76ers for supremacy in the Eastern conference?
