Alexandra feels that the concept of helping others is an integral part of our society, however many young people have misconceptions about volunteering, dismissing it as just something older people do and that it is boring and that puts them off getting involved. Her talk aims to encourage more young people to recognise how significant and how rewarding local-level volunteering is.

Alexandra is a 17-year-old student who is aiming to go to university to read Materials Science/Engineering. She has been an avid volunteer in various capacities ranging from being President of a Rotary Interact Club to helping start a youth group within a local food hub (where she volunteered during the COVID-19 pandemic).
