Protesters attempting to stop migrants being removed from a London hotel have slashed the tyres of a coach set to transport them.

Dozens of protesters wearing Covid face masks have surrounded the vehicle outside the Best Western Hotel in Peckham, south London, to prevent the migrants’ removal. Electric bikes have also been placed under the front and rear wheels.

An anonymous demonstrator from Gma’s Community Kitchen, a group that supports asylum seekers, said the migrants were being moved to the Bibby Stockholm barge in Dorset.
