complement system classical pathway animation - This lecture explains about the classical pathway of complement activation. This is an animation about the complement system about the classical pathway activation. Classical pathway of complement system is activated when the target pathogen or bacteria is coated with opsonizing antibody and then the complement proteins initiate the process of complement activation and it creates pore in the bacterial cell by forming pore forming complex. All 10 types of complement proteins are involved with this process and the a sub-unit of complement proteins are released and they act as the anaphylotoxin that show effects like vasodialatation and airway constriction.
