video thumbnail
In this video, we explain: Why Mongolian language is not related to Turkish language, Why Mongolian and Turkish Aren't Genetically Related and Do Not Share a Common Ancestry"

This video gives research-based knowledge and understanding of why Mongolian language is not genetically related to Turkish language, and why these two languages do not share a common ancestry. We compared the lexical classifications in Mongolian and Turkish languages, as well as in Latin languages. Unlike Latin languages, the Mongolian and Turkish languages are not genetically related but share some loanwords due to various layers of historical interactions between proto-Mongolic and proto-Turkic languages. The video also helps individuals and students to understand the basic concepts of how to determine whether any given languages are genetically related and how and why languages copy words from one another.
