The film features halapathy Vijay, nayanthara, comedy actor vivek in the lead roles, while Vijay plays his first sports trainer role. The film has music composed by A R Rahman, cinematography handled by Krishnan Vasant and editing done by G.K Vishnu. AGS Entertainment issued a press statement that read, "#Thalapathy63 promises to be PAKKA MASS family entertainer with a large cast, superior technical crew and best of production value. We are putting together the best global talent to attempt a genre that will be the first of its kind for Thalapathy." C. Joseph Vijay,professionally known as Vijay, is an Indian film actor and playback singer who works in Tamil cinema. He is one of the highest paid actors in Tamil cinema. Vijay is referred to by fans and media as Ilayathalapathy (young commander) or Thalapathy(commander).
