History of Ranked Choice Voting in the United States |
|
Interest in ranked choice voting (RCV) has grown exponentially, but this voting method is not new to the elections scene. Its history dates back to the mid-1800s.
In this webinar hosted by the Ranked Choice Voting Resource Center, learn more about the evolution of RCV from Jack Santucci, a recent Georgetown University Ph.D. whose dissertation (and book project) explored the rise and fall of multi-winner ranked choice in 24 American cities, 1915-62. Chris Hughes, FairVote's Staff Attorney, will also provide insight on RCV's history.
