Joachim Loew, Germany's coach has reated strongly on the constant booing of Ilkay Gundogan by German fans after he had met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Speaking after his team beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 at the BayArena in Leverkusen on Friday (8th June) in their last friendly game before the start of the 2018 World Cup, Loew said, "It hurt me because a team live from the fact that every player is supported. And when a national player is booed out like this from the substitution until the final whistle, then I of course don't like it. I find it hard to understand that it is like this, because Ilkay (Gundogan) now actually has several times faced the media and the public. (Video credit: SNTV)"
