The Lexus RX will be released in Australia with 3 engines at first: the RX350 2.4-litre turbo petrol AWD, RX350h 2.5-litre hybrid in FWD and AWD, and the RX500h turbo-hybrid AWD. Later, the RX450h+ 2.5-litre PHEV AWD will be introduced.

Rivals to the RX include the BMW X3 and X5, Mercedes GLC and GLE, Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5. It will be five-seat only for now.
