How to draw Christ The Redeemer Monument

Mr. Smith creates a colorful drawing of The Christ The Redeemer Monument in Rio De Janeiro at sunset. Mr. Smith was inspired by a small souvenir statue given to him by his son ( Giles Smith professional swimmer) who swam in competitions around the world. Mr. Smith has been considering creating this drawing for months while carrying the small statue with him and making several preliminary sketches.This monument is on Mr. Smith's bucket list of places he plans on visiting.
Mr. Smith uses oil pastels to create his version of the statue from various photographs and his keepsake souvenir. Mr. Smith enjoys the blending and rich colors he achieves when using oil pastels. He likes the feel and appearance to look thick like cake icing or chunky peanut butter.
