In this Weather IQ vlog, chief meteorologist Brad Panovich has the latest timing and impacts of possible wintry weather across North Carolina and South Carolina. There is a chance for freezing rain, sleet and ice in western North Carolina. This ice could impact areas as far south as Mooresville along I-77, while communities along Interstate 40 and southern points on I-85, such as Shelby, could see ice.

The cold air won't last, though, which means we'll eventually see a cold, miserable rain for most of the Charlotte area throughout the day Saturday.
