NOTE FROM TED: TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf

Unequal opportunities and educational barriers prevent people worldwide from learning English, breaking lives and careers. But is there a deeper reason why people struggle to learn a language? And is there something we can do about it? Ritvik is an IB Year 2 student who hopes to pursue engineering one day. Founding an organisation aiming to teach English to underprivileged people, Ritvik wishes to use this platform to address the issue of why many around the world struggle to speak English fluently. His talk will delve deeper into this problem, and suggest what can be done about it. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
