The speaker has started the talk by talking about Impacts of Covid-19. More than anything it has taken the vaccine progress we have collectively made as a civilization, she states a fact by Bill Gates “The pandemic has reversed 25 years of vaccine progress”. Vaccines are by far the best and most cost effective method to improve health outcomes and lack of vaccination is also highly correlated with child mortality.

Covid vaccine journey:
She said, immunisation is the best return on investment. She said, it just took 326 days to make a covid vaccine. Which is impeccable and we may not see that ever again. She also spoke about how we could get progressive when governments work together. How not just the health ministry of health but also other ministries govt bodies, and international organisations showed great synergy in making this feat possible, like how during the pandemic how other ministries have managed to help pharmaceutical manufacturers to keep the production going nonstop and how international organizations have enabled the technology transfer

She said, PHCs should be more accessible. She also said that governments should spend more on health care. It is a huge achievement for not just an individual organization but humanity as a whole. However there is still scope for a lot of improvement, she states the example of how American and European manufacturers have access to push and pull funding which still isn't the norm for Indian manufacturers and this really affects research, and agile manufacturing. she also expanded on the lack of healthcare infrastructure in India shortage and proper training of healthcare professionals.
