Developing Culturally Responsive, Trauma Informed Services and Responses, Part 2 |
|
Presented by Olga Trujillo, Director of Education & Social Change at Latinos United for Peace and Equity (LUPE), a National Initiatives of Caminar Latino.
This webinar, divided in to two parts, explores the ways in which service providers can adapt services to ensure they are both culturally responsive and trauma-informed. It explores the role culture can play in an individual’s trauma and healing; How language, food, customs, status, spiritual beliefs and other cultural realities can play in an individual’s experience of violence and trauma. Participants will examine steps to take to engage culturally diverse communities in their trauma informed responses and services and to develop a more culturally responsive and trauma informed program. |
