Hello! In today’s video we will cover activities during the first week of CSW.

Most of the activities that happen during CSW are during the first week.

We will cover some of them in this video. Stay tuned for the next one to hear more.

Consultation Day is the launch of CSW64, providing important, supplemental information about the two weeks of CSW. This year, translation services will be offered in the 5 official UN languages: Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, French.

You’ll be given a copy of our NGO Handbook and be able to listen to interesting speakers on the topic of Beijing+25. High level UN and governmental representation will be present. In addition, you will be entertained with music, dance and storytelling.

This exciting event will be held on Sunday March 8th at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. The Apollo Theater is not in walking distance from the UN, so you will need to take public transit to get there. It costs $100 to attend and you can get tickets online through the NGO CSW/NY website. We recommend that you buy your ticket in advance as last year it sold out.

An Orientation Session will be held on Monday morning, March 9th at 8:30am, on the 2nd floor of the Church Center of the UN on a first come basis. This is a great opportunity for all first timers to CSW. You will have a chance to ask questions and connect with other participants.

Conversation Circles will be held on the first 3 days of CSW64, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Armenian Convention Center ballroom. It is a great opportunity to meet other participants of CSW and NGO Forum, make connections and share in conversations. There will be organized thematic discussions as well as free time, an open space where you can relax, process and rejuvenate.
