In this short video from the Plum Village App https://plumvillage.app/ Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh answers a question about Catholicism and Buddhism: As a Catholic, how can I relate to Buddhism?
Full question: I'm a new practitioner. Thank you for showing me more deeply how to be in contact with my breath. I know that I'm in the presence of a great teacher, and I'm grateful for this opportunity. I grew up Catholic, I have felt Jesus in my heart, and I have great understanding and ability... Besides growing up Catholic, I was told that you were my enemy, one of many enemies... I'm feeling so much like I felt when I felt Jesus in my heart, I feel that now. How can I reconcile? This is an excerpt from a public event which took place at the Blue Cliff Monastery (USA) on October 9, 2011. ------- 🎙More about Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh ➛ https://plumvillage.org/about/thich-nhat-hanh/ 📌 Blue Cliff Monastery ➛ https://www.bluecliffmonastery.org/ ------- Find more similar short teachings on the FREE Plum Village app https://plumvillage.app/ Enjoy! 🙏 Help us caption and translate this video: https://web.plumvillage.app/subs?yt=Qrl-mP6QhzU #ThichNhatHanh #mindfulness #PlumVillageApp |
