There is no contradiction between yoga and gymming. If you are practicing gym and if you are practising yoga, better to give a gap, don’t do it simultaneous, because yoga has a different impact. It depends on what kind of yoga you are practising, if you are practising the pranayama, before the gym, and after that you can do the gym. If you are doing the gym, I would suggest that morning you have to do the yoga, because morning is the right time to give a gentle stretch and then do the gym. Most of the time the people who go to the gym, they have a problem with stiffness. You will grow the muscles, you will have to make the body flexible. People complain of shoulder pain, back pain because of stiffness an yoga will help to increase the flexibility, most of the time in the gym, there is no pranayama and if you include the pranayama in the gym, it is the better way to keep the body healthy. For healthy body it is better to keep the body strong and flexible. Yoga works not only on the physical body, but on the mental, energy body, each and every cells you will get the impact and if you combine the yoga and the gym, after the gym if you practise the shavasana, relaxation is one of the best ways to regain your energy.
