When to Stop Using a Cane or Walker After Total Knee Replacement Surgery |
|
Usually, after the first 5 days, most patients have progressed from a walker to a cane. Then after the first 10 to 14 days, they progressed from using a cane to walking independently.
Some patients continue to use a walker for 6 weeks while others never use a cane and go from a walker to no assistive device in 3 days. Everyone heals completely differently. Try not to compare your total knee replacement recovery to anyone else's. This is your journey and only you know what you need. 💚 Recommended YouTube / Amazon Products 💚: ✔️Best Cold Gel Pack: https://amzn.to/3FpRcM5 ✔️Calf Stretch Wedges: https://amzn.to/3CpffZs ✔️Frozen Massage Roller: https://amzn.to/3nllBop ✔️Seated Pedal Bike: https://amzn.to/3ClmnWI *As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
